  • General support for Human Resources Team.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent. Some college preferred but not required. 
  • Experience:
    • Must be interested in pursuing a career in Human Resources.  Must provide information on your resume or cover letter about why you are interested in Human Resources and/or what actions you have taken toward this goal (such as classes, work experience).
    • At least 6 months of full-time work experience in an office environment performing clerical or data-entry related duties.
    • Preferred: Work experience handling confidential information.
    • Preferred: Work experience related to Human Resources.
  • Other Requirements:
    • Available to work hours 7:00AM to 4:00PM, Monday – Friday. 
    • Must be able to work in our other offices within about an hour's drive from Lenexa, KS as needed, at least a twice a month.
    • Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check.
    • Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license.  Must be able to meet P1 qualifications to operate a vehicle on company business. Must have access to drive a well maintained vehicle with an up to date registration with the local Department of Motor Vehicles.  Both the candidate and the vehicle must be currently covered on a personal insurance policy.

    • Computer Skills: Accurate typing skills and proficient with computer, specifically Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), plus Outlook, Windows, and Google Chrome. Must be able to quickly learn new software.  
    • Communication: Excellent communication skills both written and oral in English. Able to speak with all levels of the organization, with customers, and with outside people with a clear, concise and professional message and a confident voice/tone/presence.
    • Customer Service: Manages difficult or emotional situations; responds promptly to needs; solicits feedback to improve service; responds to requests for service and assistance; meets commitments.
    • Interpersonal Skills: Focuses on solving conflict, not blaming; maintains confidentiality; listens to others without interrupting; keeps emotions under control; remains open to others' ideas and tries new things.
    • Planning/Organizing: Effectively organizes documents, files, and work items.
    • Problem Solving: Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; gathers and analyzes information skillfully; develops alternative solutions; works well in group problem solving situations.
    • Time Management: Responds to others’ priorities and adjusts work accordingly; prioritizes own work when there is no specific guidance from others. Flexibility to change priorities and work plan throughout the day based on urgent immediate needs. Able to work in a fast-paced, changing environment.
