P1 Construction, LLC. is seeking a Marketing Intern for summer 2026 in our Lenexa, KS office. This is a paid seasonal position.

This is a summer June/July position to start no earlier than May 26 and to end no later than August 7th.  The work hours are general day-time office hours, Mon-Fri, exact work schedule to be determined, 32-40 work hours per week. Interns are paid employees. Due to the seasonal nature of this position, no benefits are available.

Job Summary

The marketing intern will work with marketing staff to learn and execute basic marketing functions, including: writing for newsletter and digital assets like social media and web; providing ideas for social media content; assisting with design of marketing materials, including, but not limited to: fliers, ads, PowerPoint presentations; assist with internal events, including P1 Culture Club employee activities; and visiting construction jobsites and fabrication facilities to learn how marketing supports internal and external customers. The marketing intern will also accompany marketing staff to marketing planning meetings with internal customers. 

Qualifications and Skills

  • The ideal candidate is studying for, or interested in, a career path in business and/or marketing.
  • Must have, or be working toward, an associates or bachelors degree, preferably in business administration, marketing, communications, graphic design, digital or social media marketing. High school diploma or GED equivalent required. 
  • Work experience related to customer service, business, or marketing is a plus but is not required.
  • Computer Skills: Must be able to operate a computer and have familiarity with standard office applications, including Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook. Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite a plus, but not required.   
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Must be highly organized and detail oriented.
  • Must be able to satisfactorily pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
  • Must be able to satisfactorily pass a motor vehicle record check.  Must be able to meet P1 qualifications to operate a vehicle on company business. Must be at least 18 years of age.  Must possess a valid driver’s license.  Must have access to drive a well maintained vehicle.  Must have up to date registration with the local Department of Motor Vehicles.  Both the candidate and the vehicle must be currently covered on a personal insurance policy.
